Executive Summary

People are dying. Our nation is divided. The economy has crumbled. Truth is discredited. Elected officials have broken their oath to protect and defend the Constitution from foreign and domestic enemies. Constitutional balance of power has been undermined by an authoritarian president, whose egregious abuses of power, disregard for the law and disdain for diplomacy have given rise to ideological extremism, opened doors for corruption and compromised our national security. Democracy is in peril.

Trolling in concert with millions of bots, they saturate social media with outlandish conspiracy theories and racially charged tropes that sew chaos, distort history and defame the president's political enemies. Amplified by right-wing pundits and social media influencers, nonstop gaslighting and toxic false narratives have influenced unwitting patriots to the point they defend the president’s egregious abuses of power, deadly response to COVID, failed economy and martial law violating First Amendment rights.

The 2020 election may be our last opportunity to prevent the demise of our fragile democracy and mitigate damage done to institutions. Combined with ongoing foreign interference, gerrymandering and electoral college advantage, GOP efforts to thwart elections have stacked odds in their favor. Overcoming them will require unprecedented turnout of the democratic base and aggressive influence campaigns to attract disillusioned Trump voters in pivot states.

Now more than ever, there is an urgent need to counter Russia’s dystopian active measures with indisputable truth to engender public confidence in truth and voter support of principled candidates who can unite a divided nation, repair damaged institutions and end corruption in government. We won’t stop Trump’s GOP sycophants until they are expelled from public office and integrity, decency and honor are normalized again.

There is far more that unites us than divides us. Most people want the same things: love, financial security, good health, clean natural resources, comfortable living conditions and a healthy habitat. Most patriots value freedom, liberty and a government that works for them. Somehow, the GOP has hijacked “Patriotism" to manipulate the electorate. We aim to take it back and restore its ownership to its rightful owners: true patriots whose allegiance is to our Constitution and We The People.

Taking a page out of the Kremlin's playbook, we intend to counter the insidious false narratives with coordinated messaging that bridges partisan divides and galvanizes support for principled candidates. Organizers will mirror tactics of Russia’s QAnon operatives using private chat rooms to coordinate timely campaigns that are relevant to current news cycles and, most importantly, counter disinformation with indisputable truth.

We also aim to shed light on the dark conspiracies that have galvanized support for Trump and replace them with effective, inspiring counter-narrative that can unify a divided electorate, appeal to pivot voters, educate victims of psychological manipulation about ways government can better serve them.

With copious research, we can expose corruption, debunk conspiracies and counter lies propagated by Trump, his sycophants and surrogates.Via influencers, PACs, NPOs and social networks, we will target audiences both inside and outside of their tribal echo chambers. Using a combination of conventional advertising (terrestrial radio, direct mail, signs and billboards) and social media, coordinated narratives will be amplified to millions of voters.

We aim to galvanize a new generation of activists and inspire (or pressure) lawmakers to act in the public interest.

Before cable television and the internet, audiences relied upon common sources for news and information to inform life choices and hold elected officials accountable. Networks competing for audience share were inclined to adhere to truth lest they face public consternation. Most people trusted the veracity of national news. That changed with the advent of cable and the Worldwide Web. Audiences began to gravitate to outlets that aligned with their core values, where opinion pundits replaced journalists to shape public perceptions. In the absence of regulation, right-wing media became havens for GOP sycophants pushing extreme ideology.

Today, with the exception of local newspapers, terrestrial radio, snail-mail and billboards, there are few media channels that still have capacity to unite us around the same set of facts. Our reliance on self gratifying echo chambers made us vulnerable to influence by adversarial operatives like Russian military intelligence, who exploited our prejudices in pursuit of a sinister political agenda.

The weaponization of disinformation convinced Americans to elect a wholly unfit president who would serve as a Kremlin asset. Russia's insidious psychological manipulation has radicalized Trump's base to the point material facts and sources that contradict their adopted beliefs or disparage the president are patently rejected as “fake news.”

According to U.S. Intelligence reports, new active measures are underway targeting democratic candidates to sway the 2020 elections. Their strength lies in the size of their troll network, organizational infrastructure, financial stake in proprietary artificial intelligence and access to classified information, Bill Barr and the president, which makes them especially menacing to democratic leaders they target.

✤ Led by Q, paid human trolls work in concert with millions of AI troll bots that use sophisticated algorithms to flood social media with Q drops and target accounts of high profile democrats

✤ Fox, Breitbart, OAN, right-wing influencers and administration officials amplify Q tropes ✤ Q's anonymity provides cover for their organizers and culpable deniability for the president ✤ Q leaders use code names to mask identities when discussing officials like Trump, Barr and Flynn

Q Anon operatives are dangerous and must be exposed and discredited.

The only way to do that is to take a page out of their own playbook, shed light on their nefarious operation, mirror their distribution tactics, use compelling narratives to promote principled candidates and amplify it to our vast network.

For example, our “That’s What Makes America Great” campaign turns “Make America Great Again” on its heels by reminding MAGA fans why America is already great — and will stay that way if we can save it.

✤ Our principals, volunteers and partners include a talented pool of political organizers, op-researchers, educators, writers, video editors, graphic artists, former intelligence personnel, data analysts, election security experts, IT/cyber forensics experts, marketing pros and campaign/policy advisors.

There is a dire need to counter the sinister active measures of political, corporate and adversarial foreign operatives, which are systematically polarizing cultures, destroying our planet and disrupting nearly every aspect of our society. The solution lies in addressing reasons behind the core problems:

Reaching segmented audiences that gravitate to media outlets that cater to their own beliefs requires a return to conventional distribution channels such as terrestrial radio, direct email, print media. Short of taking a page from the Putin/Trump playbook, this will require significant research about audience sentiments, studying audience segments and the content that draws them to their tribal media outlets and creating a comprehensive plan to penetrate their psyches with effective messaging that can reach them where they are — if not in their media corners but in places where they see content by default. Reaching segmented audiences will require a return to more traditional mass-media tactics such as buying brokered air time, printing and distributing hard-copy content and, in the long term, acquiring community broadcast entities. This is an expensive proposition that will require a great deal of underwriting to accomplish.

More importantly, we need massive policy reform measures to rectify problems that enabled disinformation, corruption and abuses of power in both government and media to flourish. This is a long range challenge that will require a massive coalition of activist groups, human rights advocates, legal advocacy organizations, lobbyists and influential resisters to apply pressure upon elected officials to enact policy that promotes national security, civil rights, election reform, truth in media, environmental protections and human health.

While our immediate goal is to help influence the 2022 midterms, our goals extend far beyond the election. The damage caused by the Russian disinformation campaigns will have lasting deleterious effects on our democracy. Propaganda has created giant chasms between the haves and have-nots, with the wealthiest growing richer and the economically disadvantaged having fewer opportunities to get ahead, if not just survive.

Victims of disinformation campaigns may never reverse the deep-seeded hatred of “the others” engendered by the insidious psychological manipulation. However, it is incumbent upon our government and clear-headed advocates to bridge divides. We must also understand that policy failures are partly to blame for enabling Russian disinformation to influence masses.

The prison industrial complex has perpetuated the insidious cycle of incarceration for profit, lack of regulation has enabled corporations to divert wealth away from the working class and destroy the environment without consequence and Citizens United enabled dark money to influence policy. Social media has amassed far too much power and influence on the psyche of Americans, whose private information has been weaponized against them.

Additionally, corrupted elected officials have abandoned their principles and promoted their own self interests and the interests of their campaign donors. Once a champion of human rights, anti-fascist democracies, globalization and diversity, the Grand Old Party of Lincoln has been hijacked by the authoritarian Trump administration, white supremacists, evangelical extremists and Russian sympathizers in government who have adopted policy and ideals that are diabolically opposed to traditional GOP values.

Lastly, there is an impending threat to national security that is related to problems inherent in unregulated social media and artificial intelligence used to influence masses: Quantum Computing, which could render future efforts to control the flow of disinformation impossible.

Fixing these problems will require long-range planning, activism and lobbying efforts, as well as well-coordinated media campaigns. This will also require funding.

• Since March of 2020, we have been activating networks of activists and influencers who identify as “Resisters” and amplifying news, information and reports in support of candidates in both swing states and “pivot states” — states whose electorate supported Obama in 2008 and 2012, but pivoted to Trump in 2018.
• We aggregate official documents, news and opposition research resources to counter misinformation about most critical issues impacting the election, we created JustResisting.com to fill the gap and amplify information as @JustResisting on Twitter.
• Via direct message “rooms” on Twitter, we have also brought important activists together to organize resistance-related activities and support for worthy candidates in tough races.

• We compile information about candidates in swing and pivot states including their websites, campaign offices, financing sources as well as new and information.
• Amplify worthy candidates on Twitter via DM Rooms, where we submit their tweets for retweeting by resisters.
• We amplify news about election interference, tampering and problems with electronic voting machine hacking and manipulation.

• Through our online networks, we help activist groups connect with their constituents and organize protests, provide resource information they need for logistics and messaging and amplify their efforts on social media.
